Expression of Freedom by Living Without Abuse

to

Now in its third year, this innovative project explores the context of abuse in relationships from the perspective of domestic abuse/sexual violence survivors and young people from across Leicestershire and Leicester City. For the first time, LWA are showcasing the voice of the perpetrator and local work with perpetrators to break the pattern of abuse in this hard hitting, thought provoking and emotional exhibition. Using art to reflect, heal, empower and give a creative voice, experienced artists collaborated with Living Without Abuse charity plus Leicester County Council Children & Family Wellbeing Service, Leicester City Council and DeMontfort University to bring together a unique collection of works including paintings, drawings, textiles, fashion, poetry, written word, videography and performance arts to raise awareness and tell stories of hope and recovery.

The expo will be open to the public during the international 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.
